H.E. Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Austria, met with H.E. Dr. Michael Linhart, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria, in the office of the Secretary General of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, they discussed means of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries and issues of mutual interest and ways of enhancing them.

President of the Federal Republic of Austria, Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen, has received here the credentials of HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Thani Al-Thani as Qatar's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Austria.

Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Li Yong received the credentials of HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Austria Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani as permanent representative of Qatar to the UNIDO.

Director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Yukiya Amano, received the credentials of HE Qatar's Ambassador to Austria Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani as Qatar's permanent representative to the IAEA in Vienna.

Slovenian President Borut Pahor met HE Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Qatar's non-resident ambassador to Slovenia, on the occasion of ending his tenure to the country.

Qatar's Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani participated in the Ministerial Meeting of the Group of international support for Syria, which was held in the Austrian capital, Vienna .
