Qatar Affirms Support to IAEA in Nuclear Security, Safety Field

The State of Qatar has affirmed that the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, especially in the areas of health, agriculture, industry and the environment, are a strategic bet and part of its plan for comprehensive economic and social development within the Qatar National Vision 2030, as it has adopted appropriate legislation to enhance the safety and security of radioactive materials and is cooperating with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to enhance the Agency's efforts in the field of nuclear security and safety.


Foreign Minister's Special Envoy Meets OSCE Secretary-General

HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs' Special Envoy for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani met with HE Secretary-General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Ambassador Thomas Greminger, on the sidelines of the Regional High-Level Conference held in Vienna in cooperation with the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office (UNOCT) from February 11 to 12, under the title "Foreign Terrorist Fighters: Addressing Current Challenges."
