The Ambassador of Qatar to Austria holds a breakfast banquet in the presence of senior officials from politicians, diplomats, parliamentarians and heads of international and regional organizations
H.E. Sheikh /Ali Bin Jassim Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Organizations in Vienna, hosted a breakfast banquet on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, attended by senior officials from politicians, diplomats, parliamentarians and heads of international and regional organizations accredited in Vienna.
The banquet was also attended by the ambassadors of the Arab and Islamic countries, the Vatican, H.E Mr. Sulaiman Al-Harbash, Director General of the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), H.E. Mr. Lassina Zerbo, Executive Secretary of the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBT), President of the Austrian Islamic Organization Mr. Ibrahim Olgon, Dr. Reinhold Lopatka, Austrian Socialist Party representative Dr. Omar Al-Rawi and Secretary-General of the Austrian-Arab Chamber of Commerce. In addition to senior officials of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, most notably the Head of the Protocol Department at the Ministry H.E. Mr. Ainu Drofenik.
In a speech after the breakfast, H.E. Sheikh / Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani welcomed the guests and thanked them for their invitation to attend the banquet and wished the holy month to be a month of goodness, blessing, security, safety and mercy for all countries of the world, especially in the Arab and Muslim world, which suffers from many crises and wars.
He also spoke about the greatness of Islam and its tolerant principles that make up hearts, renounce wars, reconcile people, achieve stability, cooperation and solidarity among human beings, stressing the keenness of the State of Qatar to use the noble values of Islam to promote peace and stability and prevent aggression and incitement to violence on religious or doctrinal grounds.
He expressed the hope that he would seize the opportunity of this month to renounce political and partisan differences and strife and to promote dialogue, understanding and peaceful coexistence among peoples for the benefit of all humanity.
At the end, the participants expressed their thanks to H. E. Sheikh / Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani for hosting the banquet. They also congratulated the State of Qatar on the holy month of Ramadan and wished it and its people further progress and goodness.
