The Follow-up Committee for the Implementation of the "Doha Declaration" will hold its fourth meeting in Vienna

The fourth meeting of the Follow-up Committee for the Implementation of the Doha Declaration projects was held at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna, Austria.
The Qatari side was headed by His Excellency Major General Dr. Abdullah Yousif Al Mal, Advisor to the Minister of Interior and HE Dr. Ahmed Bin Hassan Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegation of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime was led by Mr. John Prandolino, Director of Conventions Affairs.
During the meeting, progress was made in implementing the funding agreement between the two sides and a review of possible projects by the end of 2017.
It should be noted that the follow-up committee was formed in light of the Doha Agreement Implementation Agreement signed on November 27, 2015. The Agreement provides for the State of Qatar to fund projects and initiatives recommended by the Doha Declaration of the Thirteenth Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Held in Doha in April 2015 and over the next four years to the 14th Congress on Crime Prevention to be held in Japan in 2020.
The meeting was attended by Qatar's Ambassador to the Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and international organizations in Vienna, Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani.
