Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) commends Qatar's strong record in cooperation with international organizations

During his meeting with the Qatari Ambassador in Vienna, the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) commends Qatar's strong record in cooperation with international organizations

 The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Austria and the Permanent Representative to the United Nations and International Organizations met in Vienna with H.E. Thomas Greminger, Secretary-General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and spoke about the State of Qatar joining the Organization as a cooperative partner within Asian Group Given the importance of the Organization's mechanisms and tools for Asian countries to meet the challenges of cross-border security, the challenges of sustainable development, and environmental challenges, as well as issues of education, youth empowerment, counter-terrorism and extremism.
He reviewed the series of meetings held by H.E. the Ambassador with the Italian presidency of the Organization and with the representatives of most of the member countries of the Organization (57 members) and with the Ambassadors of the Asian countries, the cooperative partners from Asia. He referred to the positive results which resulted from the request of the State of Qatar to join the Organization as a partner, and pledge to support it.
H.E. the ambassador stressed the keenness of the State of Qatar to work with the Organization and all its partners to achieve the objectives of the Organization and to enhance its security and humanitarian role and to participating in all its activities. Doha is ready to host its various events, including the Asian Partner Group Conferences, thus making Qatar's membership a qualitative addition to the work of this Organization.
He stressed that all international organizations in which the State of Qatar had participated or hosted its conferences and activities praised the country's unlimited support.
The Qatar Ambassador expressed his thanks and gratitude for the efforts made by the Secretary General of the Organization and his supportive position to include Qatar in the membership of this important international organization and invited him to visit the State of Qatar.
For his part, Thomas Greminger, secretary-general of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), praised the State of Qatar's record of cooperation with international organizations and its being an effective state in the field of international cooperation. He expressed satisfaction with the results of meetings held by H.E. Sheikh / Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani with the Chairman and Members of the Organization.
