Qatar delivered Third Share in Financing Global Program against Organized Crime, and the United Nations commends the country commitment

The State of Qatar has delivered the third installment of its contribution to the financing of the World Program for the Implementation of the Doha Declaration, which is being implemented in cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United Nations for a period of five years (2016-2020).
H.E. Ambassador Sheikh/ Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Austria and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and international organizations in Vienna, delivered this contribution during a meeting with H.E. Mr. John Brandolino, Director of the Division for Treaty Affairs of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna.
Mr. Brandolino praised the commitment of the State of Qatar to support the World Program for the Implementation of the Doha Declaration, which was launched by the State of Qatar in support of the World Peace and Development, and to strengthen the capacity of States, particularly developing countries, to fight organized crime and related crimes, and immunize the public, especially young people, of the dangers of these crimes.
The program includes projects and activities to protect young people from crime through sport, promotion of judicial integrity, rehabilitation of prisoners and education for justice. More than 180 countries have benefited from it so far. Its achievements include the launch of the Global Integrity Network and the program to combat violent extremism and terrorism through Education.
