The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), HE Mr. Yukiya Amano, praised the role of the State of Qatar and its continued cooperation with the Agency to promote the peaceful uses of nuclear energy in the world.
During his meeting with HE Shaikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani, Qatar's Permanent Representative to the United Nations and international organizations in Vienna on the sidelines of the annual reception held by Mr. Amano on the occasion of the new year, HE expressed his deep appreciation for Qatar's contribution to supporting Various programs and projects of the Agency, most recently contributing to the financing of the renovation of the IAEA laboratories in the area of ​​Cybersdorf in the suburbs of Vienna.
For his part, the Ambassador expressed the gratitude of the State of Qatar for the cooperation and expertise provided by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to Qatar and the aspiration to expand and strengthen such cooperation in the future and to accelerate the pace of Qatar's development programs and scientific development.
