Foreign Minister's Special Envoy Meets OSCE Secretary-General

HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs' Special Envoy for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani met with HE Secretary-General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Ambassador Thomas Greminger, on the sidelines of the Regional High-Level Conference held in Vienna in cooperation with the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office (UNOCT) from February 11 to 12, under the title "Foreign Terrorist Fighters: Addressing Current Challenges."

Secretary-General of OSCE appreciated the good offices of the State of Qatar in resolving many regional and international conflicts and its pioneering role and efforts in combating terrorism and extremism in cooperation with allies and international partners, especially in conflict areas, stressing the importance of coordinating regional and international efforts in this regard.

HE Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani underlined that the various problems and crises are resolved by the convergence of views through meetings and conferences, stressing the importance of OSCE and the aspiration of the State of Qatar to enhance bilateral relations and partnership with it in the future.
