Qatar's ambassador to Vienna discusses with Austrian cultural official how to strengthen cultural and artistic relations between Qatar and Austria

The Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Austria, H.E. Sheikh / Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, met with the Director General of the Department of Culture and Arts of the Austrian Chancellery, H.E. Ambassador Jürgen Mendel, where they exchanged views on bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Austria, especially to develop cooperation ties in various cultural and artistic fields between the two friendly countries.

During the meeting, H.E. Sheikh / Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani highlighted the great interest Qatar attaches to culture as an important means of achieving understanding, dialogue and communication between peoples.

H.E. stressed the distinguished relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Austria and the efforts of officials in both countries to promote them in various fields, including the cultural field, praising Austria's cultural and artistic heritage.

For his part, H.E. Ambassador Jürgen Mendel stressed the Austrian side's desire to enhance cultural and artistic cooperation with the State of Qatar, expressing his admiration for the role of the Museum of Islamic Art, the Qatar National Museum, the National Library and other national institutions in highlighting the cultural aspects of the country.
